Cartoon Characters For Movember

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. In honor of the good work this charity achieves each year AR have compiled their top ten mustachioed cartoon characters...

10 – At number ten is Ace, leader of the Gangreen Gang, from the’ Powerpuff Girls’. It’s not a substantial growth... more of a bad teenage moustache, but a valiant effort!

09 – At number nine we have Duncan aka Man-At-Arms from ‘He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe’. It was mandatory for father figures in 1980’s cartoons to have some sort of facial hair so we feel Duncan could have been a bit more creative.

08 – At number 8 is Cleveland Brown from ‘Family Guy’ and ‘The Cleveland Show’. Cleveland subscribes to ‘Moustache Aficionado’ magazine so clearly takes his moustache growing seriously.

07 – Ned Flanders is at number 7. No list of tache wearing cartoon characters would be complete without Ned and his “cookie duster”.

06 – From ‘Chowder’, Mung Daal sneaks in at number 6. Mungs moustache used to be part of a beard-moustache combo until Truffles tore off the beard for interrupting her game of Mah-jongg!

05 – At number 5... Monterey Jack from the ‘Rescue Rangers’. Monterey’s moustache is seemingly normal until he gets a whiff of cheese upon which it twists and writhes like it has a mind of its own.

04 – Yosemite Sam takes the number 4 spot simply because his moustache is so huge and ginger... nice!

03 – Pops, from ‘Regular Show’, and his well groomed gentlemanly moustache is at number 3. Like Cleveland, Pops takes his facial hair seriously and only reads ‘Moustache Monthly’ magazine.

02 – From ‘Danger Mouse’ comes a controversial choice at number 2. Some would consider Colonel K’s facial hair more beard than moustache... we feel the shaved chin separating the two sides gives it a more mustachio vibe. The colonel’s moustache often has him mistaken for a Walrus (common amongst moustache wearers) but he’s actually a chinchilla!

01 – At the coveted number one spot we have ‘Wacky Races’ bad guy Dick Dastardly and his impressively sleek Salvador Dali moustache. Looking closely at Dick and his “moustache” the hair seems to be coming from his nose rather than his top lip... maybe he’s disguising his excessive nasal hair as a stylish tache! Tache or nasal hair, either way he’s to be commended.
