Ira Elshansky: Warm Snow

Ira Elshansky's textural claymation 'Warm Snow' depicts the tempestuous relationship between a father and his now grown-up daughter.

The short starts in a fairly ordinary domestic setting... At the dinner table the girl is annoyed by her father's persistence that she "Try the pickles". The spilt white grains from an upset sugar bowl suddenly evoke a poignant memory of a time they spent together sledding in the snow. As the film progresses the situation transforms into a surrealistic world full of heart-warming love and melancholic pain.
